Our Day at MAD World Summit 2025
Today, the ThinkOTB team had the privilege of attending the MAD World Summit – a flagship event dedicated to mental health, wellbeing and workplace culture. It’s a space where business leaders, HR professionals and culture shapers come together to share real stories, explore new ideas and drive lasting change.
For us, this wasn’t just another conference. It was a chance to connect the dots between what’s happening across the world of workplace wellbeing and the work we do every day with our clients through our Culture service offering.
Why MAD World Matters
MAD World exists to make wellbeing and mental health part of the everyday conversation in business, not just an afterthought. The Summit is built around a simple but powerful goal, which is ‘to turn insight into action’.
Its sessions are practical, prevention-focused and deeply human. From inspiring keynotes to interactive discussions, the event encourages collaboration across departments and industries, reminding us that meaningful change happens when HR, leaders, managers and employees all play a part.
Themes of innovation, inclusivity and sustainability ran throughout the day, values that sit at the heart of how we approach culture at Outside the Box.
How It Connects to What We Do
At Outside the Box, we believe that culture is the invisible architecture that shapes how organisations think, feel and perform. Our Culture services are designed to help leaders and teams strengthen leadership capability, build confidence in creative problem-solving, develop growth mindsets and shape the beliefs and behaviours that enable people to thrive.
When we talk about culture, we’re talking about the daily habits, rituals and systems that make an organisation tick – and that’s where wellbeing lives. A culture that prioritises wellbeing doesn’t just make people feel better; it drives engagement, innovation and performance.
Highlights from the day
The Summit was full of powerful stories and bold ideas. From leaders who are reimagining wellbeing at scale, to innovators challenging outdated norms.
We left feeling energised by the honesty of the conversations and the willingness of organisations to share what hasn’t worked as openly as what has. That transparency is what makes change possible.
It reminded us why we do what we do: helping organisations look beneath the surface, uncover the patterns that shape behaviour, and design cultures that bring out the best in people.
Back at ThinkOTB, we’ll be debriefing as a team and capturing the key takeaways that can add even more value to our clients.
We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and continue helping clients design cultures where people don’t just work – they thrive.
